Quanna is a Southern-born, New York-based rapper, creative entrepreneur, and community organizer best known as the founder of this cultural movement CareFree Black Girl. Blending her background in music, fashion, and activism, Quanna created CareFree Black Girl in 2013 as a digital hashtag that quickly evolved into a nationwide platform celebrating the joy, freedom, and multidimensionality of Black women and femmes.
What began as a social media statement against narrow stereotypes transformed into a thriving community, culminating in the CareFree Black Girl Cookout—a traveling cultural event that centers Black women in wellness, beauty, entrepreneurship, and music. The Cookout has made stops in cities like Atlanta, Brooklyn, and Miami, partnering with major brands and platforms such as BET, Sprite, SheaMoisture, and Essence.
As a musical artist, Quanna brings raw lyricism and Southern flavor to her sound, blending empowerment with personal storytelling. Her independent releases have been featured in underground hip-hop circles and championed by fans who value authenticity and representation.
Through both her creative work and grassroots organizing, Quanna continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be a carefree Black girl—one who is bold, visionary, and always in community.
